General information for former students of the Active Living and Leisure program
Everyone is welcome at the gatherings, including former students of the Active Living and Leisure program. Unfortunately, however, the Alumni Association is unable to provide extra support for those with special needs, and neither the instructors nor the research fellows at the school are available during this weekend. We therefore kindly ask students who require special support to bring a companion or have a someone nearby who can be contacted if needed. Syskenborg School Cabin
Former students may remember that the Alumni Association used to be the owner of the school cabin, which was primarily used by the school. However, following a decision at the annual general meeting in January 2017, the ownership of the cabin was transferred to Valdres Folkehøgskole. As part of the agreement, members of the Alumni Association can rent the cabin at a reduced price.
Price for renting the cabin:
The rental price for the school cabin is 40 NOK per day, with a minimum fixed price per day. For booking inquiries, please contact Valdres Folkehøgskole at valdres@vinterventyr.no.
Want to become a member?
Membership in the Alumni Association costs 100 NOK. The membership is valid for one calendar year, and must be renewed on January 1. We would greatly appreciate if more people supported the work of the Alumni Association. It would also be helpful if you set up an automatic payment on January 1 each year, as the Alumni Association Board is unable to send reminders to renew your membership.

General Meeting
All members of the Alumni Association have the right to attend and vote at the annual general meeting. The general meeting is usually held on the same weekend as the “skis and hugs” gathering, typically the last weekend in January.
The notice and agenda for the general meeting will be published on Facebook and on this website. The minutes will be published no later than 14 days after the meeting, and on the same platforms. The general meeting usually takes place at Valdres Folkehøgskole in January each year.
